Still no ZBrush for me. I ordered from JourneyEd on 6-27 and they finally sent me a backorder notice today (8-07). Studica.com it is! Anyway, I digress, if you can call it that not having written yet about my main subject.

This is really a WIP to which I just added a background to make it look finished. I intend to have blood running down the hands, which will change the meaning a bit I think. To do what I have so far I used MAX, Photoshop, and a series of Photos of my hand taken by Liam Devine (the guy known as "FracturedReality" at the bottom of my page).

I rigged it in an unusual way as well. I broke the hand apart into sections, applied skin to those sections, and used them as a skin wrap for the hand. I really need ZBrush. This was done exclusively in 3DsMAX with hand painted textures and displacement in Photoshop. When I finally get ZBrush I will be able to do better stuff faster.
